Overview
Overview
Reminiscent of the iconic mid-1950s Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing coupe, the new Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing is both a gorgeous, beautifully appointed two-seater that turns heads wherever it goes and a high performance rear-wheel-drive sports car that’s as fast and sure-handling as a Ferrari or Lamborghini. On the performance side, it’s powered by an enormous V8 and has standard racecar-style enhancements, such as a dry sump lubrication system and low-back-pressure exhaust. But it also has a luxurious leather-lined interior and comes loaded with standard equipment, including power-adjustable heated seats, a backup camera, and navigation and premium sound systems. If you can afford to pay upwards of 200 grand for a car, and want a beauty with the heart of a beast, this car definitely should be on your shopping list.
