Trade and Logistics Data Point to Broader Economic Cooling

Fresh US data show global demand for American products continues to wane amid an uncertain outlook, which is easing pressure on the supply chains that run the world’s biggest economy.

The US trade deficit widened for a second month in October as merchandise exports declined, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. While the dollar has erased much of its advance in recent months, a strong currency is still making domestic products more expensive for overseas customers.
