Italy’s Factories Feel the Economic Shocks of Ukraine War

After just a month, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is already bringing to a standstill factories all over Italy.

Russia accounts for just 1.6% of Italy’s exports but in some sectors the proportion is much higher. And that’s without taking into account the impact of higher gas and power costs on energy-intensive sectors such as steel making, paper manufacturing or ceramics.
