CityLab Daily: Introducing ‘The Quarantine Atlas’

Also today: More people live in flood zones than previously thought, and cities turn to Zoom for ideas to spend Covid relief aid.

The Quarantine Atlas will be published April 5, 2022.

The Quarantine Atlas will be published April 5, 2022.

In April 2020, we asked readers to submit homemade maps of their lives during the coronavirus pandemic. The response was overwhelming, with more than 400 maps and accompanying stories that offered a window into what people all over the world were experiencing during the crisis.

These submissions are now the inspiration behind CityLab’s forthcoming book, The Quarantine Atlas, which includes 65 maps created by our readers and 8 original essays, curated and edited by our reporter Laura Bliss. We’re thrilled to announce that the book will be published April 5, 2022, by Black Dog & Leventhal, and is available to preorder.
