Pressure Mounts to Speed Crew Changes on Cargo Ships

For anyone feeling overly confined to home this holiday season, spare a thought for seafarers who helped ferry all those gifts around the world, many of whom are stranded on ships with little hope to return home to their families.

Now pressure is mounting to assist them. Fidelity International joined shipping industry groups in calling for urgent action from governments and ship owners to help an estimated 400,000 seafarers working on vessels return home.
