Baystate Business: Nurse Staffing Initiative (Radio)

Bloomberg Boston Bureau Chief Tom Moroney and Radio News Anchors Peter Barnes, Pat Carroll, Anne Mostue and Janet Wu are joined by top names from local business and finance to medicine and politics, along with Bloomberg reporters covering the latest stories in Boston, the Bay State and beyond. On the Thursday, August 16 edition of Bloomberg Baystate Business we spoke with both sides of the controversial nurse staffing ballot initiative that goes before Massachusetts voters this November. Newburyport Mayor Donna Holaday is among those who oppose the initiative and Donna Kelly Williams, the President of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, is among those in favor. With the football season about to start, and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady among those trying out a new style of helmet, we spoke with Chris Nowinski, the co-founder and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation. Matt Murphy of State House News Service gave us another update on how the governor has dealt with the flurry of bills that reached him at the end of the last legislative session. We also talked about emerging markets with Bryan Carter of BNP Paribas. Finally, Stuart Paap of Pitch DNA joined us to talk about how he helps people improve their pitches. Producer: Dan Pierce
