Trump Sues to Oust Public Broadcasting Directors He Already Axed
The Trump administration sued three Corporation for Public Broadcasting directors for allegedly refusing to leave their posts after he fired them in April and they lost a preliminary legal challenge to their dismissals.
The Justice Department said in a complaint filed Tuesday in Washington federal court that the three are “usurping and unlawfully holding or exercising” roles as board members of the nonprofit organization that finances the Public Broadcasting Service TV network and National Public Radio.
