French Economy to Grow Only Slightly This Quarter, Central Bank Says
France’s economy will only grow slightly in the second quarter as manufacturing firms remain cautious on the impact of US tariffs, according to the central bank.
While activity in industry and services rose more than expected in April, business leaders in the central bank’s monthly survey expect declines in May, which is already affected by a series of public holidays. Respondents also flagged risks from tariffs, despite being relatively unaffected for now.
