South Korea Says ‘Sensitive Country’ Label Due to Security Breach

The US added South Korea to a list of so-called sensitive countries for energy cooperation in January after a security breach came to light, according to South Korea’s Foreign Ministry.

The move by the Biden administration stemmed from concerns over security at a research lab, and the move wasn’t intended to be taken as a foreign policy statement, the ministry said.
