South Korea to Hold Final Yoon Impeachment Hearing on Tuesday
South Korea’s Constitutional Court will hold its final impeachment hearing next week before deciding if President Yoon Suk Yeol should be permanently removed from office for his botched martial law declaration in December.
The last hearing to review whether to uphold the parliament’s decision to impeach Yoon or restore his presidential powers has been set for Tuesday, a court spokesperson said Thursday. In previous instances the court reached its decision within two weeks of the final hearing.
