Malaysian Stocks Seen Gaining Over 10% in 2025 on Profit Growth

  • KLCI Index seen rising in 2025 after climbing 13% last year
  • Investment policies, earnings growth to buoy Malaysian shares

Malaysian stocks may notch their first back-to-back annual gain in more than a decade as investments by state-owned firms boost earnings.

After last year’s 13% surge, Maybank Investment Bank Bhd. expects the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index to end 2025 at 1,740, implying an 11% climb from Friday’s close. UOB Kay Hian Malaysia Holdings sees an even stronger finish at 1,800. A yearly advance would mark its only consecutive annual rise since 2013.
