Despite changes in the real estate market ushered in during the lockdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic, demand for walkable urban areas remains high in the US, according to a new analysis. But the footprint of these coveted areas remains small.
Among the 35 most populous US metro areas, New York, Boston and Washington, DC, top the list of the most walkable, according to the report by nonprofit Smart Growth America and real estate services company Places Platform.
