A toy drive started by Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest during a game Monday, has raised nearly $8 million since his collapse — $85,000 of which has come from fantasy football leagues.
More than 350 fantasy leagues had put some or all of their pot toward the Chasing M’s Foundation as of Thursday afternoon, according to a GoFundMe spokesperson. That includes some fantasy league players whose bracket outcomes depended on the Bills-Bengals game during which Hamlin collapsed. That game was postponed and then canceled by the National Football League.
