Volodymyr Zelenskiy, on his first trip abroad since the Russian invasion began on Feb. 24, called US support “crucial” in an address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday night.
Zelenskiy arrived at the White House earlier in the day to a red-carpet welcome by President Joe Biden. The two leaders later took part in a joint press conference, where Biden declared: “We will stay with you for as long as it takes.”
