California Backs Measure Codifying Abortion Rights

California voters passed a ballot measure to codify the right to abortion in the state’s constitution, NBC said. 

The measure adds language to the state’s constitution that it “shall not deny or interfere with an individual’s reproductive freedom,” including the right to choose to have an abortion.
