Macron, Sunak Plan Summit Next Year After Strained Relations

French President Emmanuel Macron and the UK’s new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak are planning to meet next year, as both leaders stressed the need to work together after strained relations between their countries. 

The two agreed to prepare the bilateral summit in a phone call Friday, the French presidency said in a message to journalists. The plan for the meeting was confirmed by a Downing Street spokesperson.
