Ex-Merrill Lynch Banker Hunts Green Energy Bets for World’s Rich

James Munce has become the CEO of renewable energy fund HYCAP, which has bought stakes in three hydrogen companies.

James Munce, who spent a decade helping build an investment platform for Bank of America Corp.’s Merrill Lynch, is looking to achieve a similar feat for the world’s super-rich.

Munce took over last month as chief executive officer of HYCAP, an investment fund focusing on the hydrogen industry. The firm was co-founded by a member of the billionaire Bamford family behind construction-equipment maker JCB and is backed by other wealthy investors.
