Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni won her first confidence vote in the Lower House of parliament with a solid majority, in a sign that she’ll be able to drive through her agenda as long as her coalition remains united.

Meloni first outlined her program in an hour-long speech earlier on Tuesday, and was then voted by 235 out of the 400 members of the Lower House. She faces a similar vote in the Senate Wednesday, which will mark the last step of her accession to power.
