The Communist Party’s list of Central Committee members released Saturday will be scrutinized by economists for what it means for the People’s Bank of China.

Governor Yi Gang, 64, and Guo Shuqing, 66, who is party chief and deputy governor at the central bank, are around the official retirement age, fueling speculation over whether they’ll remain in their posts.
