A Pakistan court extended former prime minister Imran Khan’s preemptive bail until Sept. 12 in a police complaint seeking action against him under the country’s terrorism law.
The anti-terror court judge Jawad Abbas Hassan gave the order, Babar Awan, Khan’s lawyer and a senior party leader, told reporters in Islamabad. “The police has now come up with some new charges. These are all baseless,” Awan said. “This complaint has to go away. We will contest them.”
