Same-Sex Marriage Opposed by Majority in Singapore, Survey Shows

A new poll found a majority in Singapore are against same-sex marriages while there is support for a government plan to repeal a colonial-era law criminalizing sex between men.

Some 66% agree with a proposal to legally enshrine marriage as “only being between a man and a woman,” according to the online survey conducted by Blackbox Research Pte from Aug. 22-23. Around 55% said “no” when asked whether they personally support gay marriage while 31% said “yes.”
