Tyson Foods Inc. is resisting demands from New York to provide information for an investigation into whether the meat producer engaged in price gouging during the pandemic, the state claimed.
New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a court filing Wednesday that she’s seeking a special court proceeding to force Tyson to turn over the requested information. The probe is intended to determine whether companies charged “unconscionably excessive prices” in violation of New York’s price gouging law, she said.
