US High-Grade Bond Sales on Track to Top Dealer Forecasts for Week

  • First week of August on track to beat issuance expectations
  • Sales come after yields drop to lowest since early June

Just two days into August, US investment-grade bond sales are already on track to beat dealer forecasts.

Companies including Intel Corp. and Moody’s Corp. are among the seven issuers slated to sell bonds on Tuesday. On Monday, companies sold eight offerings totaling $15.35 billion. Banks at the end of July had expected sales for this week to reach about $25 billion to $30 billion, a figure that might now be too low.
