Michael Burry, whose cryptic tweets about market risks have been striking a chord of late, shifted topics to the US birth rate Thursday, taking what appeared to be a swipe at Elon Musk after reports that the Tesla co-founder fathered twins with an employee.

Burry, the founder of Scion Asset Management who is known for betting against the housing market before the 2008 crisis, acknowledged lower birth rates but said “that doesn’t mean that bosses should sleep with subordinates to try to remedy the situation.”
