Finland’s membership in NATO will strengthen the Nordic nation’s status as an investment destination by helping lower country risk, according to central bank chief Olli Rehn.

In addition to the fundamentals of the economy, security in the operating environment is important when gauging country risk, Rehn said in a panel discussion on Finnish security and foreign policy in Mikkeli, Finland.
