The UK automotive industry secured a rare win after Formula One outfit Red Bull Racing Ltd. announced it will make its first-ever production car in the country.

Red Bull Racing will start assembling the £5 million ($6.1 million) RB17 -- a track-only hybrid car with more than 1,100 horsepower -- at its facilities in Milton Keynes, England, starting in 2025, the firm said Tuesday. The production, which is limited to 50 units, will create over 100 new jobs and secure existing roles, it said.
