The US Supreme Court struck down the constitutional right to abortion on Friday in overturning the landmark ruling Roe v. Wade, a move that could spur nearly half of US states to bar or greatly restrict the practice within their borders. 

States that have affirmed reproductive rights are bracing for an expected influx in out-of-state abortion-seekers, and some cities and counties have been taking steps to amplify their role as havens for people who need reproductive care.
