German Industry Needs Transparency on Gas Burden, VCI Says

Germany’s industrial sector requires fair and transparent measures from the government to get through the unprecedented challenge of the Russian gas crisis, the country’s leading chemical-makers association said.

The burden from the cut in gas supply by Russia is putting industry and society into an increasingly difficult position and the resulting challenges must be shared fairly, according to the VCI. Germany on Thursday raised the country’s gas risk level to the second-highest “alarm” phase after a cut in supplies.
