French President Emmanuel Macron said he’ll back Romania’s fresh bid to unlock the nation’s efforts to join the European Union’s visa-free travel bloc, which have been stalled for years.
“France is on your side and we’ll do everything possible to support your bid,” Macron said Wednesday during a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis at a military base on the Black Sea coast.
