Almost Half-Million Midwest Homes Are Without Power in Wake of Storm

More than 490,000 homes and businesses are without power across the US Midwest after powerful windstorms roared through the region.

Most of the outages are in Ohio, where more than 360,000 customers are in the dark, according to Poweroutage.us, which tracks utility websites. Indiana has 50,000 outages. West Virginia has almost 51,000.
