Ryanair Holdings Plc is ordering South Africans traveling to the UK to complete a list of questions to prove their identity in Afrikaans -- only one of 11 official languages spoken in the country.
Europe’s largest low-cost airline imposed the measure to prevent the use of fraudulent passports, the Dublin-based company said in a text message on Monday. Ryanair doesn’t operate direct flights to South Africa but may ferry citizens via its European and North African short-haul network.
