New York’s affluent had a busy few weeks in a compressed social season that saw nonprofits racing for some in-person fundraising, often for the first time since before the pandemic.

David Einhorn, Dan Loeb, Rob Pohly and Paul Taubman were at the Public Theater’s gala. Seth Meyers hosted the 92NY benefit, then discovered Justine and Jeff Koons are 92NY fans the next night at the Whitney Museum of American Art gala. One Monday, John Avlon of CNN had lunch with the New York Historical Society and dinner with PEN America. Sarah Arison went to five benefits in four nights.
