London Mulls Cutting Bus Routes to Repair Covid-Hit Finances

London’s transport authority will begin a consultation to cut bus frequencies and routes in central and inner parts of the UK capital, fulfilling one condition of pandemic-era government bailouts.

Transport for London said its proposals will help reduce the bus network by 4% in 2024/25 to achieve financial savings, with routes changed or withdrawn in areas already served by others.
