The collapse of a 10-story tower in Iran’s restive southwestern province of Khuzestan has triggered new anti-government protests as the death toll from the disaster rose to 19.
The “Metropol” building gave way early Monday as it was still under construction in the city of Abadan, the historic center of Iran’s oil region with a mostly ethnically Arab population.
