President Joe Biden will travel to Uvalde, Texas, on Sunday to honor the victims of a mass shooting at an elementary school there that killed least 19 children and two teachers, the White House announced. 

“The president and first lady believe it is important to show their support for the community during this devastating time and to be there for the families of the victims,” Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at the White House.
