Noodles & Co. is going with Impossible Foods Inc. over competitors, including Beyond Meat Inc., for its plant-based breaded chicken that will be offered across the U.S. this year.
The chain, which has about 450 locations, said Impossible’s product tastes the most like real meat and has the best texture out of the 27 plant-based options from 10 different providers evaluated by its culinary team. Impossible’s chicken also had the best nutritional profile, according to Noodles Chief Marketing Officer Stacey Pool.
