Federal Reserve hawks and doves are joining Jerome Powell’s call to get going on raising interest rates to curb high inflation.

The chair’s speech on Monday -- his first on his own behalf since a press conference last week when he spoke for all officials -- explicitly put a half-point hike on the table in May if needed.
