RT, the state-backed TV network formerly called Russia Today, filed the first European Union court challenge against the bloc’s sanctions in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine.
The EU’s General Court said in a tweet on Tuesday that the channel’s French arm is contesting the EU’s March 1 decision to impose “restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.”
