Australia Has Substantial Interest in EU-China WTO Dispute Issue

Australia has an interest in the issues raised in the dispute brought by the European Union against China regarding discriminatory trade practices imposed on Lithuania and will request to join these consultations, Trade Minister Dan Tehan says in a statement.

Australia opposes the use of economic coercion and restrictive trade which undermine the rules-based international trading system and cause economic harm. The nation is committed to upholding and supporting the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core.
