Several rockets hit Baghdad International Airport on Friday damaging two civilian aircraft but causing no casualties, in what appeared to be the latest attack targeting the U.S. presence in the Iraqi capital.

The government blamed “terrorists” for the early morning strikes using Katyusha missiles, which weren’t claimed by any group. The attacks were likely aimed at the nearby U.S. base, Camp Victory, which houses American military personnel, according to an airport official, who asked not to be named.
