Prince Andrew cast blame back at Virginia Giuffre over her sexual abuse suit, saying her claims were barred by her own wrongful conduct and “consent.”

In a paragraph-by-paragraph response to the suit Giuffre filed in New York claiming he abused her when she was a teenager, Andrew suggested she was at least partly responsible for her own alleged injuries, though he didn’t specify what actions by her he was talking about. The filing Wednesday also said “Giuffre’s claims are barred by the doctrine of consent.” It wasn’t clear from the filing what was meant by consent.
