Goldman Sachs Comes Out on Top in Record Dealmaking Year

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. held on to the top spot in dealmaking during a record year.

The investment bank was the No. 1 adviser on mergers and acquisitions for the fifth year in a row, as measured by the total dollar value of transactions it handled, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
