Bosses and managers at numerous industries have expressed frustration at the difficulty of hiring in the current economic environment. In some cases, it's just a matter of people not willing to take the same wages and hours as they got pre-pandemic. In other cases, the challenges are more idiosyncratic. One area, that's a major source of consternation for parents, is school bus drivers, who perform an often overlooked, yet critical, public service. On this episode we speak with Corey Muirhead, the EVP at Logan Bus Company, the largest schoolbus fleet operator in the New York City area about how the pandemic has affected the industry and the challenges of staffing in this environment.
