Big Buyout Firms Show Interest in $12 Billion DuPont Unit

Some of the world’s largest buyout firms, from Advent International to Carlyle Group Inc., are considering bidding for DuPont de Nemours Inc.’s mobility and materials unit, people familiar with the matter said.

Apollo Global Management Inc. and CVC Capital Partners are also studying the business, according to the people. The unit could be valued at as much as $12 billion, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private.
