One of China’s Energy Growth Engines Plans an Offshore Wind Boom

China’s southern Guangxi region, one of the country’s key untapped offshore wind markets, secured approvals to start adding renewables out at sea.

The province won backing from the National Energy Administration to install 7.5 gigawatts of offshore wind power and will aim to build about 3 gigawatts of that capacity by 2025, the local government said in a statement.
