European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the world must do more to limit global warming -- including boosting financing to help developing countries -- just days before leaders assemble for crucial international climate talks known as COP26.

“We’re not on the right track,” von der Leyen said in an interview with Bloomberg News, referring to commitments made by countries to lower their carbon emissions. “We have to be much more ambitious. We have to show more leadership to really transform our economy and the way we consume.”
