Australia’s Attorney-General Christian Porter identified himself as the Cabinet member accused of raping a teenage girl in the 1980s, and strongly protested his innocence.

“Nothing in the allegations that have been printed, ever happened,” he told reporters in Perth on Wednesday. He didn’t go into any details about the nature of the allegations, and said he will remain in Cabinet.
