Everyone battled the same coronavirus, but quality of life, control of the pathogen’s spread and progress toward reopening has looked vastly different across the world during the last two and a half years.
Bloomberg’s Covid Resilience Ranking, which was published monthly from November 2020 to June 2022, scored the largest 53 economies on their success at containing the virus with the least amount of social and economic disruption. As vacccination became widespread in 2021, the progress of normalization in global travel routes and flight capacity were also key indicators.
