Three pro-democracy activists were arrested by Hong Kong police after briefly entering the U.S. consulate in the city on Tuesday in an apparent bid to seek asylum, according to a person familiar with the incident.
The person, who asked not to be identified discussing private information, didn’t provide further details. Officials at the U.S. consulate didn’t immediately respond to questions after normal business hours.
