New York regulators approved the state’s largest wind farm to date on land, covering 30,000 acres southeast of Buffalo.

The $454 million project by Invenergy LLC will produce enough power for about 134,000 homes, the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment said in statement Wednesday. The approval of the 340-megawatt Alle-Catt wind farm comes after more than two years of review.
